Five Summer Favorites

As we near the last few weeks of summer, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite items from this summer.  Summer is definitely the time of year when I like to simplify my routine and rock an all natural look.  I use lighter makeup than the other months and rarely use any heat on my hair.  For this summer, I picked up this salt spray from Rahua to give my hair a beachy texture.  I also just got a major haircut so this definitely comes in handy since I can no longer get my hair in a braid to bring out some waves.

Beachy waves always pair great with a golden glow.  So another one of my favorite products this summer has been the Face Tan Water by EcoTan.  I’ve been using this product to give my face and chest a subtle tan.  One thing I love about this product that is hard to find is that it actually smells good!  I always find tanning products say they don’t have the typical tanning product smell, yet I notice the familiar and unwanted smell each time.

My favorite nail color this summer has been Terra by Habit.  It’s the perfect coral/red mix. I don’t typically like wearing bright colors on my nails, I’m a light pink or nude kind of girl, but I couldn’t resist this fun color.  I’ll probably be wearing it into fall as well.

Since I’m sharing a summer list, I had to include this book which I actually purchased last summer, but never had a chance to read.  Well this summer I finally opened it and I’m so glad I did, I literally read it in a few days.  The Unexpected Everything is about a girl whose summer plans are turned upside down at the last minute.  She takes a chance on an unexpected summer job and everything changes.  This book was the perfect summer read, I couldn’t put it down.

One last summer favorite for ya, these popsicles have become my new favorite.  I discovered the brand at Target early in the summer and  became obsessed immediately.  I love that the ingredients are so simple and natural and that I don’t feel guilty having a few, especially on a hot day.  These dark chocolate ones taste like a frozen chocolate banana.  So delish!!

I always look forward to fall as it is my favorite season of the year, however I plan to soak up the last bits of summer while I can.  I’ll be eating popcicles and lounging in the sun with a good book as long as I can.

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo, A
